Inventions

Most of Dr. Rosenberg's inventions belong either to the Tel Aviv University applied projects company, Ramot Ltd. or to InnoScent Ltd., a start-up company co-founded by Tel Aviv University and RAD in 1996. Further developments in the field of perfumes, fine fragrances and flavors are currently being developed.

The two-phase mouthwash is our most successful invention thus far. It has become a bestseller in the UK ("Dentyl pH™") and is sold in a few other countries. The rights for the technology belong to the Tel Aviv University applied projects company, Ramot.

  • Breathanol™ is a flavor that prevents bad breath by actually interfering with odor production by oral bacteria. It is currently incorporated in chewing gum, toothpaste, mouthwash, breath spray and tablets. The rights for the technology belong to InnoScent Ltd., a start-up company co-founded by Tel Aviv University and RAD.

  • OK to Kiss™

OK to Kiss™ is a 'litmus paper' type test that tells you whether you are at risk for bad breath. The rights for the technology belong to InnoScent Ltd., a start-up company co-founded by Tel Aviv University and RAD.

The DiaSlide is™ an inoculating device which allows for simultaneous sampling and isolation of microorganisms from liquid and slurry samples. It is used primarily for identifying bacteria in urine samples.

The QuadLoop™ was our first invention to be commercialized. It is a plastic innoculator for microbial samples, and is the only one of our inventions (that I know of) to be featured in a museum.

  • PreShower Deodorant

Several years ago Prof. Rosenberg invented a deodorant that you use before you shower. It is applied a few minutes before showering and then washed off in the shower. The deodorant works by removing the bacteria that cause body odor. The technology was successfully tested in a clinical study, but we have not been able to commercialize it thus far because it is too new and different. The rights for the technology belong to InnoScent Ltd., a start-up company co-founded by Tel Aviv University and RAD.

  • Anti-lice Shampoo

Based on the biological mechanism of the two-phase mouthwash, Prof. Rosenberg developed a two-phase anti-lice shampoo, which separates the lice and eggs from the hair and washes them away. The shampopo is a novel pesticide-free product, and is currently being produced in Israel by Sano, under the name "Sano Al Kinim".

  • Shoe Spray

Prof. Rosenberg invented the world's first upside-down shoe spray, which enables you to deodorize shoes without touching the shoe or the nozzle. The shoe spray is marketed in Japan, and hopefully will be available in other countries. The rights for the technology belong to InnoScent Ltd., a start-up company co-founded by Tel Aviv University and RAD.
